I use to hate the texture of oatmeal, but now that I’ve been eating it almost every morning with slightly over ripe, sliced bananas, I’m starting to acquire the taste of oatmeal and even enjoying it with a side of fresh fruit and tea.
Oatmeal is one of the cheapest health foods out there, that gives you a huge bang for your buck. But, I guess the time it takes to prepare it is why people shy away from eating oatmeal, and maybe some are like me and just never liked the texture of it.

Trader Joe’s has frozen steel cut oatmeal that you can pop in the microwave for 4 minutes, dress it up, and eat it, if your dilemma is time.
I like to eat my oatmeal outside, because it gets hot in my house early in the day now, so eating it outside makes the oatmeal more desirable. And sometimes just being somewhere different, quiet, and comfortable helps you to enjoy your food and really tone in on all the flavors.
However, if you dilemma is the texture of oatmeal, or you just can’t bare the taste of it. Eat it once a day for an entire week with fresh fruit, nuts, and date sugar. Taste is acquired, and you can acquire the taste of oatmeal and even begin to prefer it over other breakfast meals. If I can go from eating McDonalds, In N Out, Burger King, Jack N The Box, and high sugared foods to eating fresh fruits and vegetables in less than 24 hours, then you can learn to enjoy a bowl of oatmeal in the morning.
When the facts and studies show you that 1 egg a day is equivalent to smoking 5 cigarettes a day for 15 years when it comes to cholesterol. And oatmeal is equivalent to jogging for 4 hours everyday. Which would you chose?
